Electrical Safety in Construction (4 Hours)

Learn how to develop an electrical safety program that meets OSHA regulations in the one-day seminar. Using concepts and requirements found in OSHA, NEC and NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace, you will be able to perform a site assessment, identify factors that make a task hazardous, and provide protective schemes to address hazards. You will learn how to write procedures, develop safe work practices and select appropriate personal protective equipments. Topics include: ground fault protection, temporary wiring for job sites, power line safety, cord & tool safety, lock-out/tag-out, and personal protective requirements for qualified live electrical work.

Each participant will receive the Construction Safety Council's Electrical Safety for Construction Workbook, which includes: safety checklists, permit forms, model lock out/tag out program and a toolbox talk on power line hazards.
